The Artists
You didn't make the butterflies, did you? Absolutely not. We believe some of the best art in the world is either inspired by or an effort to imitate nature, but there is nothing that comes close to the real thing. When people ask, "Did you paint these to look like this?" we answer, "No, the first Artist did a more than adequate job." So this is secondary art, and we would never try to take credit for what only God can do! What we do attempt to do is to present these incredible creations as beautifully as we possibly can. We encourage you to get to know the First Artist personally. If you'd like to know a little about the secondary artist who creates the finished framed pieces, read on.
Peggy Jackson is an accomplished, well-regarded interior designer interested in what makes a space a memorable experience. Her lifelong interest in art, combined with organic nuances and natural beauty has brought together the superb coloration of exotic butterflies and hand made papers to create a composite with emotional and aesthetic impact. Collectors of her art remark how the inspiration of a blank canvas becomes a window into nature. Each piece is creatively transformed beginning with a meticulous and intricate preparation of the butterflies and insects. These are then beautifully arranged individually into extremely honest design statements to display in a residence, spa, office or waiting room. Sky Vine butterfly and insect art has been exhibited locally at the Butterfly Pavilion and the Wildlife Experience art museum. Fine art show participation includes the Carbondale Mountain Fair, Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Loveland Art in the Park and Estes Park Art Market.
Peggy is a Colorado native and mother of two wonderful children. Her degrees include Therapeutic Recreation and Interior Design. As a CSU trained horticulturalist and Master Gardener she consults and designs flower beds to attract both birds and butterflies. This love of both nature and gardening extends into the community where she has developed sensory experiences in public and private gardens for handicapped individuals.
